3AM

She says it's cold outside, but she won’t give me my raincoat
She's always getting away with things like that
She says it's all gonna hurt and it might as well be her fault
And she only sleeps when it's raining
And I scream and my voice is straining

(chorus)
I say baby
It's 3 am you must be writing
When I say baby
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes

Says the rain's gonna wash away, I don’t believe it

She's got something up her sleeve, God I wish it were nothing
And in her color TV world she believes that she's got it all
She swears the screen don't seem quite as blank as it used to
And she only sleeps when it's raining
And I scream and my voice is straining

(chorus)
I say baby
It's 3 am you must be writing
When I say baby
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes

She believes my life is made up of all that she gives me
And the clock on the wall has been stuck at three for days, and days
She thinks that happiness is a clone that sits on her desktop
But outside it's stopped raining

(chorus)

I say baby
It's 3 am you must be writing
When I say baby
Well I can't help but be scared of it all sometimes

Feedback

Never know how much you liked it,
Never know how much you care.
When I post my stories on these web-sites,
I still find feedback is so very rare.

Please give me feedback!
When you read it,
Feedback tells me what's gone right.
Feedback! In the morning,
Feedback in the dark of night.

Everybody give me feedback!
That is something you all know ;
Feedback isn't such a new thing.
Feedback started long ago.

Angst, it lights up my daytime;
Hurt Comfort helps to light the night.
I light up when you read my stories,
But only if you post or write.

Please give me feedback!
When you read it,
Feedback tells me what's gone right.
Feedback! In the morning,
Feedback in the dark of night.

Some of you may love or hate it.
Not all readers feel the same.
But feedback helps me see what you see;
Just readers, please don't give me flames.

Please give me feedback!
When you read it,
Feedback without flaming roots.

Feedback! I'm awaiting
Feedback! Yeah, I yearn for truth.

Ship or slash or simple friendship;
Don't always need a mad affair.
It's chemistry that makes the fans flip
for stories, if you truly dare.
Just give me feedback,
Simple emails;
Feedback in a sweet review.
Feedback! Across the miles.
Emoticons will even do!

Now you've listened to my story;
I'm not speakin' just for kicks.
Fics improve when you give feedback,
Tells me what to keep or fix.

Please give me feedback!
When you read it,
Feedback helps me live and learn.
Feedback! Did it sizzle?
What a lovely way to burn!
What a lovely way to burn...
What a lovely way to burn...
What a lovely way to burn...

I Don't Know How To Hurt Him

I don't know how to hurt him;
what to use,
then how to soothe him.
Maybe chains....
Yes!  Really, chains!
In the past few days,
he's been on the run,
and his friend's been somewhere else.

I don't know how he takes this.
Can't you see why he moves me?
He's a man.
He's just a man.
Though I've known so many
men before
in very many ways,
he's so much more!

Should I knock him down?
Would he scream and shout?
Should I tie him up?
Force his feelings out?
I never thought I'd come to this!
What's it all about?

Don't you think it's rather funny
I should be in this position?
I'm the one
who's always been
so calm, so cool,
no fandom fool,
who'd quietly watch a show.
But he moves me so!

I never thought I'd come to this!
What's it all about?

Now, he needs his team around him.
He's so lost;
he's so frightened.
But we love angst.
Yes, lots of angst.
Don't turn your head.
Don't back away.
You're gonna want to know!
He steals the show!
We want him so.
We love him so.

I'm So Excited!

Tonight's the night we're gonna come together.
Tonight we'll put all other things aside.
Come on inside and join our wild party!
We're celebrating friendship here tonight.

We're from the US, England,
Even from down under.
We've come to party, hearty,
We just can't get enough!
All for a TV show,
We can't let go.

I'm so excited!
And I just can't hide it.
I'm about to lose control,
And I think I like it!
I'm so excited!
And I just can't hide it.
And I know, I know, I know, I know
I know we're friends here, friends here.

We shouldn't even think about tomorrow.
Sweet memories will last a long, long time.
We'll have a good time here now don't you worry,
And later we can still have fun on-line.

Let's get excited!
And we just can't hide it.
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!
I'm so excited!
And I just can't hide it.
And I know, I know, I know, I know
I know we're friends here, friends here!

50 Ways To Beat The Goa'uld

The problem is all inside the 'gate, Thor said to me.
The answer is easy if you take it logically.
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free.
There must be fifty ways to beat the Goa'uld.

Thor said it's really not my habit to intrude,
furthermore I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued,
so I repeat myself, at the risk of being crude,
there must be fifty ways to beat the Goa'uld;
fifty ways to beat the Goa'uld.

A silent attack, Jack.
Make a new plan, Sam.
Show 'em your ilk, Teal'c.
You just listen to me.
Show 'em your rocks, Doc.
You can get 'em in a head-lock.
Make 'em history, Kree,
and get yourself free.

Thor said, it grieves me so to see you in such pain.
I wish there was something I could do,
to make you smile again.
I said, I appreciate that;
but would you please explain about the fifty ways?

Thor said, why don't we both just sleep on it tonight;
and I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light.
And then he left me, and I realized he probably was right;
there must be fifty ways to beat the Goa'uld.

Put 'em in storage, George.
Tell 'em to can it, Janet.
Cross all of their wires, Siler.
You gotta listen to me.

Show 'em your cards, Sarge
Go ahead and mount a full charge!
Make 'em history, Kree.
And get yourself free.

Apophis is Back!

Oh, this Goa’uld, babe, has such teeth, dear,
And I show them pearly white.
Just a ribbon device has Apophis, babe,
And I keep it, ah, out of sight.

Ya’ know when this Goa’uld bites with his teeth, babe
Scarlet billows never spread.
Far too civilized is Apophis, babe,
So there’s never, never a trace of red.

Now in your gate room, huh, huh, whoo sunny morning, un huh
I promise I’ll be in charge some time.
When someone’s walkin’ through your Stargate,
Could that someone be my first prime?

There’s my mother ship, huh, huh, up by your moon don’t’cha know
Where my fighters are just a’ droppin’ on down.
Oh, those ships are there for my pleasure, dear,
Because Apophis is back in town.

Now did ya’ hear ‘bout my friend Heru’ur?
He disappeared, babe, in a brilliant flash.
That’s what can happen, if you cross me,
So you’d better not do somethin’ rash.

Now Ammonet’s gone, ho, ho, yeah, you lucky ladies,
Ooh, Sam and Janet, here, go put on these gowns.
Oh, the line forms on the right, babe,
Now that Apophis is back in town.

I said Ammonet’s gone, ho, ho, yeah, you lucky ladies,
Lookin’ fine there, in your new gowns.
Yes, that line forms on the right, babe
Now that Apophis is back in town.....

Look out, Apophis is back!!

Apophis the Goauld

A-po-phis the Go-a-uld
fights the SGC,
and frolics in Earth's atmosphere
with a thousand Jaffas - Kree!
Colonel Jackie O-Neill
loathes that rascal 'Poph.
'Poph gives him grief with sneak attacks
and really ticks him off, oh,

A-po-phis the Go-a-uld
fights the SGC,
and frolics in Earth's atmosphere
with a thousand Jaffas - Kree!
A-po-phis the Go-a-uld
fights the SGC,
and frolics in Earth's atmosphere
with a thousand Jaffas - Kree!

Together they will battle
until one can prevail,
and Jackie keeps a lookout to
stay on 'Poph's deadly trail.
The system lords and Tok'ra
try to join the game;
but no one can keep up with them
when 'Poph roars out Jack's name, oh,

A-po-phis the Go-a-uld
fights the SGC,
and frolics in Earth's atmosphere
with a thousand Jaffas - Kree!
A-po-phis the Go-a-uld
fights the SGC,
and frolics in Earth's atmosphere
with a thousand Jaffas - Kree!

A Goa'uld lives forever,
but only with a host;
and even then could still become
a symbiote-head roast.
One day it might happen,
Jackie O-Neill fights no more;
and 'Poph no longer comes to wage
his genocidal war.

Jack's head raised up in triumph,
his teammates hale and strong,
Jackie can retire in peace
to fish the whole day long.
With these Tau-ri enemies
'Poph has met his match.
The SGC will guarantee
that no more Goa'ulds hatch, oh,....

A-po-phis the Go-a-uld
fights the SGC,
and frolics in Earth's atmosphere
with a thousand Jaffas - Kree!
A-po-phis the Go-a-uld
fights the SGC,
and frolics in Earth's atmosphere
with a thousand Jaffas - Kree!

Archeology Prize

A long, long time ago,

I can still remember

how his lectures used to make me dream.

And I knew if I had my chance,

That I could make my theories dance,

And maybe earn a touch of his esteem.

But then I saw that drug-store rag,

A deadly curse; a cheap sales tag,

Still bad news in the headline;

One honest truth made the deadline.

I can’t remember if I cried

When I knew I’d never earn his pride;

But something touched me deep inside,

The day my mentor died.

Chorus:

And bye, bye, archeology prize.

Gave my theories to the juries and they said I was high.

Them good ol’ boys will never give up their lies;

They’re sayin’ Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Did I write a book of lies,

in my old professor’s eyes?

At least Steve Rayner tells me so.

Now, that I believed in something new,

While they all said it wasn’t true,

Makes me yearn to tell them what I know.

Well, I never cleared my tarnished name,

Or justified my wild claims.

They still scoff at my views;

Man I hate this secretive ruse!

I’m just some crazy nut like old grand-dad.

I lost the life I might have had.

But all that really makes me sad

Is to know my mentor died.

Chorus:

And bye, bye, archeology prize.

Gave my theories to the juries and they said I was high.

Them good ol’ boys will never give up their lies;

They’re sayin’ Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Now for 5 years, I’ve been on my own,

My whereabouts a complete unknown.

Wish that’s not how it had to be.

While Apophis made my wife his queen,

My old friends stayed in their worn out scene,

Without a clue about our real history.

Oh, then Sarah made a careless glance,

And old Osiris took his chance.

Oh, and while my mentor burned,

An old Goa’uld was returned.

Oh, as Steven’s book bought him a Porsche,

Sarah’s life was turned off course,

And I fought back a Goa’uld force,

The day, my mentor died.

Chorus:

And bye, bye, archeology prize.

Gave my theories to the juries and they said I was high.

Them good ol’ boys will never give up their lies;

They’re sayin’ Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Egypt’s old glyphs together with Goa’uld script

When Steve flew off to an old desert crypt

Osiris never even made a sound….

He landed flat on the ground,

And when he finally came around

He said he recognized what he had found.

He said he knew that I was right,

But those words could never last the night,

Oh, we had to find a lie

So he’d once again deny

I had insight in the field

My vindication had to yield,

The SGC couldn’t be revealed

After my mentor died.

Chorus:

And bye, bye, archeology prize.

Gave my theories to the juries and they said I was high.

Them good ol’ boys will never give up their lies;

They’re sayin’ Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

And while we were all in one place

Osiris made a break for space

With threats to come and fight us here again.

Jack was fishing; Jack was gone;

When Jack came back he saw it all went wrong,

And to the Goa’uld I’d lost another friend.

And as I read about the curse,

Then I knew my life was worse.

All Goa’ulds are born in hell,

And I’m caught in their spell.

Their ships soar high into the night

To light the sacrificial right,

And Osiris is laughing with delight,

Because my mentor died.

Chorus:

And bye, bye, archeology prize.

Gave my theories to the juries and they said I was high.

Them good ol’ boys will never give up their lies;

They’re sayin’ Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

When I went back to the SGC,

My friends all tried to comfort me,

But I just smiled and turned away.

Then I went down to the 28th floor,

Where I’d gone so many times before,

But the Stargate seemed so empty there that day.

Through the halls alarms can blare,

And calls of warning fill the air,

But all was hushed and silent,

Everywhere that I went.

My life will never be the same

After this bloody Goa’uld game,

I hope someone will respect my name

Although my mentor died.

And I was singin’

Chorus:

Bye, bye, archeology prize.

Gave my theories to the juries and they said I was high.

Them good ol’ boys will never give up their lies;

They’re sayin’ Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Bye, bye, archeology prize.

Gave my theories to the juries and they said I was high.

Them good ol’ boys will never give up their lies;

They’re sayin’ Dr. Jackson’s dead in our eyes.

Bad, Bad Apophis

Well the South side of the Milky Way
Is the baddest part of space;
And if you go out there
You better just beware
Of a Goa'uld named Apophis .
Now `Pophis more than trouble,
You see he likes to go to war.
All the Goa'uld queens call him "Ha'tak Lover",
All the Jaffa call him "Lord".

Chorus:
And it's bad, bad Apophis.
The baddest Goa'uld in the galaxies.
Badder than old So'kar,
And meaner than Heru'ur.

Now `Pophis he's a player,
And he like his fancy clothes;
And he like to wave his ribbon device,
In front of everybody's nose.
He got a custom Ha'tak vessel.
He got a thousand Jaffa too.
He got a zatnikatel gun in his pocket for fun,
He got a razor in his shoe.

Chorus:
And it's bad, bad Apophis.
The baddest Goa'uld in the galaxies.
Badder than old So'kar,
And meaner than Heru'ur.

Now Friday, 'bout a week ago,
`Pophis in the sun;
And `round the edge of the `gate
Came a man name of O'Neill
And the rest of SG-1.
Well he cast his eyes upon them,
And the trouble soon began;
'Cause Apophis learned a lesson
'Bout messin' with the folks from Tau'ri land.

Chorus:
And it's bad, bad Apophis.
The baddest Goa'uld in the galaxies.
Badder than old So'kar,
And meaner than Heru'ur.

Well the whole gang took to fighting
And when they pulled them off the ground
`Pophis looked like a jigsaw puzzle
With a couple of pieces gone.

Beast of Burden

Originally by: The Rolling Stones
Categories: Characters - Chaka ; and Episodes - Beast of Burden

Chaka's not a beast of burden.
His back is broad, but he's a hurtin' .
All he wants is for his kind to be free.

He'll never be a beast of burden.
He'll walk for miles; his feet ain't hurtin' .
All he wants is for his kind to be free.

Is he hard enough?
Is he rough enough?
Is he wise enough?
He's not too blind to see.

He'll never be a beast of burden.
Can't send him home; he'll stay for certain.
Daniel on the radio,
"Ka keka, Chaka," it don't have to be.

Is he hard enough?
Is he rough enough?
Is he wise enough?
He's not too blind to see.

Oh Chaka, Chaka
Gritty, gritty, gritty, gritty beast.

He's a gritty, gritty, gritty, gritty, gritty, gritty beast.
Gritty, gritty, such a gritty, gritty, gritty, beast.
Ka Keka, Chaka, please, please, please.

I'll tell ya
He can put them out on the street;
Put them out with no shoes on their feet;
But don't take' em out, take' em out
Take' em out in misery.

All their ridicule, he can suck it up.
Throw it all at him, he can shrug it off.
There's one thing that he don't understand,
They keep on tellin' him he ain't no kind of man.

Ain't he hard enough?
Oh, ain't he rough enough?
Ain't he wise enough?
Human enough?
Ooh, ooh, please!

He'll never be a beast of burden.
He'll never be a beast of burden.
Never, never, never, never, never, never, never be.
He'll never a beast of burden.
He's walked for miles; his feet ain't hurtin' .
All I want is for his kind to be free.

They don't need no beast of burden
They keep on fussin ', do their own nursin '
Never, never, never, never, never, never, never be.

Chaka , the Dashing Unas

Chaka , the dashing Unas,

had underdeveloped horns.

And if you ever saw him,

you might even want to scorn.

All of the other Unas,

used to laugh and call him names.

They never let poor Chaka,

join in any Unas games.

Then one shiny, summer day,

Daniel came to play.

Chaka with your smile so bright,

toss the symbiote tonight!

Then all the Unas feared him,

as they scrambled out to flee;

Chaka , the dashing Unas,

you'll go down in history!

Cheyenne Mountain

sung by General Hammond

Welcome to the Cheyenne Mountain,
Come on in and see what's happenin'
Your security pass is your ticket for the show!

The 'gate is set, alarms start blaring,
Suddenly your heart is pounding,
Wishing secretly you were on the team!

But don't be fooled by the video,
You're watching on control room screens.
They'll show you photographs
How other lives can be;
They're all from someone else's galaxies.

So if you think that life is
Unique to Earth,
Because we seem so all alone,
Well just remember down in Cheyenne Mountain,
You've seen some real ET's phone home.
ET's phoned home!

America has competition.
Russia's 'gate's an imposition.
We have to work together in the stars.

Someday soon we'll stop to ponder,
What on Earth's this spell we're under?
We fight the Goa'uld and still we wonder
Who the hell we are.

Cheyenne Mountain High

A Jack/Daniel Cheyenne Mountain High

Daniel was scorned and ridiculed
by his academic peers.
He went home
to a place he'd never been before.
He left yesterday behind him,
you might say he was born again;
you might say he found the key for Heaven's door.

When Jack first came to the mountain,
his life was buried deep
in the box
that held his only son.
With his heart already broken,
he didn't really care;
it would all be fast,
and the pain wouldn't last for long.

Under the Colorado Cheyenne Mountain High,
They've seen it rainin' fire in the sky.
The shimmers from the Stargate
are softer than a lullaby.
Cheyenne Mountain High.
(Colorado)
Cheyenne Mountain High.
(High, Colorado)

They saw cathedrals, temples.
They saw Mother Nature's glow.
They saw everything, as far as you can see.
And though one of them got crazy once,
he found his Sha're's son;
and he lost his wife,
but kept her memories.

Now they walk in quiet solitude,
the forests and the streams,
seeking hope
in every trip they take.
Their sight has turned beyond themselves,
beyond the Stargate's glow,
in the serenity
of a clear, blue mountain lake.

Under the Colorado Cheyenne Mountain High,
They've seen it rainin' fire in the sky.
Fight with Goa'ulds as Asgards give a casual reply.
Cheyenne Mountain High
(High, Colorado)
Cheyenne Mountain High.
(High, Colorado)

Now their lives are full of wonder,
but their hearts still know some fear
of a simple thing they never can ignore.
The Goa'ulds try to tear the Tau'ri down
to bring in a couple more,
more planets,
more hosts for system lords.

Under the Colorado Cheyenne Mountain High,
they've seen it rainin' fire in the sky.
They know they'd both be poorer men,
if they never saw the Stargate shine.
Cheyenne Mountain High.

Under the Colorado Cheyenne Mountain High,
they've seen it rainin' fire in the sky.
Team's around the campfire,
and thoughts are flyin' high!
Cheyenne Mountain High.

Cruel

The voice of Machello’s weapon takes on a life of its own…

Man, I'm a real pain,
you're just a step from going insane
you hear me whisper and the words
chill in your veins
I can be so cruel!
My latest victim
Machello knew how to inflict 'em
I'll steal your reason by freezin'
the step in your groove

Because I know
goa'ulds life ain't good enough,
I would save your world
to free you up
I could change your life
to rid you of that ghost
if you're a host

and it's just like the ocean
inside a shell
well that's the sound of the emotion
in your living hell
you got the kind of symptoms that prove you're
not well

so give up your mind
make it mine
then just forget about it

Well, I'll tell you one thing,
you're so far gone it's just a crying shame
in every breath and every word,
you hear your name
I'm calling you out
out from the recent past
you see my vision in your viewing glass
you feel the turning of the gate
so hard and fast
turning you round, and round

Because I know
goa'ulds like ain't good enough,
I would save your world
to free you up
I could change your life
to rid you of that ghost
if you're a host

and it's just like the ocean
inside a shell
well that's the sound of the emotion
in your living hell
you got the kind of symptoms that prove you're
not well

so give up your mind
make it mine
then just forget about it

Because I know
goa'ulds like ain't good enough,
I would save your world
to free you up
I could change your life
to rid you of that ghost
if you're a host

and it's just like the ocean
inside a shell
well that's the sound of the emotion
in your living hell
you got the kind of symptoms that prove you're
not well

so give up your mind
make it mine
then just forget about it
then just forget about it
give up your mind, make it mine
then just forget about it
oh just forget about it

Daniel

Daniel is travelin' tonight through the 'gate.

I can see the bright blue lights

shimmering out into space

Oh, and,

I can see Daniel wavin' good-bye.

Oh, be careful, Daniel,

for the trouble that's on the other side.

Chorus:

Oh, oh, oh,

Daniel my lover,

you are

older/younger than me,

do you  still feel the pain,

of the scars you've had healed?

You've died and died;

but you came back to life.

Daniel you're a star,

in the face of the sky.

They say space is pretty,

though I've never been.

Daniel says it's the best thing

he's ever seen,

oh, and,

he should know he's been there enough.

Lord, I miss Daniel.

Oh, I miss him so much.

(Repeat Chorus)

Do it Again

Every mornin' you eat Fruitloops
`Cos a man, he stole tomorrow
And you're caught each time the time loops
Much to your dismay and sorrow
And your friends they keep repeating
And you never can explain it
`Cos the time you have is fleeting
But you know you must reclaim it,

You go back, Jack, do it again /Gate turnin' round and round / You go back, Jack, do it again

When you know you just can't stop it
Then you find your only friend
And you both decide to drop it
`Cos you're sure you're near the end
Then you soon become a wild one
Finding time a thing to borrow
And though wormhole golf is some fun
You'll be back again tomorrow

You go back, Jack, do it again /Gate turnin' round and round / You go back, Jack, do it again

Now you try to talk to Janet,
Hammond, Carter, even Dan
Still you find you're on that planet
With a zat gun in your hand
But all you need are words to save you
So you say what you are able
You can't let the past enslave you
You must make the timeline stable

You go back, Jack, do it again / Gate turnin' round and round / You go back, Jack, do it again

Drops of Jupiter

Now that he's out past the atmosphere,
With drops of Jupiter in his hair, hey, hey,
He shines like summer and walks like rain,
Reminds me that there's time to change, hey, hey.
When he first came to the SGC,
He was alone, yeah, a lot like me, hey, hey.

Tell me, can you sail across the sun?
Did you make it past the Milky Way to see the lights all faded,
And that heaven is under-rated?
Tell me, did you swing on a shooting star?
Did you lose all your permanent scars?
And do you miss me while you're looking for the truth out there?

Now that he's off on his soul vacation,
Tracing his way through the constellations, hey, hey,
Can he chat with Mozart? Will he find Shifu?
Reminds me that there's still much to do, hey, hey.

If he comes back to the atmosphere,
I'm afraid that he might think of me as
Plain, old Jane told a story 'bout a man
Who was too afraid to fly so he never did land.

Tell me, can the wind sweep you off your feet?
Did you finally get the chance
To dance along the light of day,
And head back through the Milky Way?
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind?
Was it everything I'm hoping to find?
And do you miss me while you're looking for the truth out there?

Can you remember lost love, pride,
Deep-fried chicken,
Your best friend always stickin' up for you *
Even when I know you're wrong?
Can you remember your first dance,
Freeze-dried romance,
Five-hour phone conversation,
The best soy-latte that you ever had,
And me?

Tell me, can the wind sweep you off your feet?
Did you finally get the chance
To dance along the light of day,
And head back through the Mily Way?
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind?
Was it everything I'm hoping to find?
And do you miss me while you're looking for the truth out there?

Gater's Little Helper

What a drag it is getting old!

"Life is different today,"
I hear every Gater say,
"I just need a little dose to calm me down".
And though we're not really sick,
There's relief in Stargate fic.
We go running for the shelter of a Gater's little helper;
And it helps us on our way, gets us through our busy day.

"Things are different today,"
I hear every Gater say,
"Working full time and at home, it's just a drag!"
So we buy an instant cake and we burn our frozen steak,
And go running to the shelter of a Gater's little helper,
As fic helps us on our way, get us through our busy day.

Writers please, some more of these!
Zines and the net; all we can get!
What a drag it is getting old.

"Networks aren't the same today,"
I hear every Gater say,
"They just don't appreciate Stargate's appeal!
"They're so hard to satisfy.   They can't tranquilize our minds!"
So go running to the shelter of a Gater's little helper,
And fic helps us through the night, helps to minimize our plight.

Writers please, some more of these!
Zines and the net; all we can get!
What a drag it is getting old.

"Life's just much too hard today,"
I hear every Gater say,
The pursuit of happiness just seems a bore.
But if you read some more of those, you can't get an overdose!
So keep running to the shelter of a Gater's little helper!
Fic can help you on your way, get you through your busy day!

Go Ask Janet

One blast makes you suffer

One more, makes you die

And the third blast, the Jaffa gives you

Means you don’t need CSI

Go ask Janet

And she’ll tell you why

And if you go chasing Jaffa

And you know you’re going to fall

Tell ‘ em Apophis ’ smoking corpse is

Worth answering the call

Call Janet

She can save you all

When the Goa’uld on the gate ramp

Come down and tell you where to go

And you’ve just heard something from Machello

And your mind is moving slow

Go ask Janet

I think she’ll know

When logic and proportion

Are screwing with your head

And the general is talking backwards

And old Hathor’s glowing red

Remember

What the Asgard said

Keep your head!   Keep your head!   Keep your head!

Goa’uld Mash

I was working in my lab late one night

When my eyes beheld an eerie sight;

For a Goa’uld from his sarc began to rise,

And suddenly to my surprise,

(He did the mash)

He did the Goa’uld mash.

(The Goa’uld mash)

It was a Stargate smash.

(He did the mash)

His eyes started to flash.

(He did the mash)

He did the Goa’uld mash.

From the 28th level in the mountain east,

To the commissary where my teammates feast,

The Goa’ulds all came in their lavish attire

To get a thrill and set the Earth on fire.

(They did the mash)

They did the Goa’uld mash.

(The Goa’uld mash)

It was a Stargate smash.

(They did the mash)

Their eyes started to flash.

(They did the mash)

They did the Goa’uld mash.

The Jaffas were having fun.

The party had just begun.

The guests included Hathor,

Apophis and his son.

The scene was rocking, full of Goa’uldish squeals,

Even Heru’ur kicked up his heels.

The sarc repairmen were about to arrive,

With their vocal group, “the Crypt Fixer Five”.

(They played the mash)

They played the Goa’uld mash.

(The Goa’uld mash)

It was a Stargate smash.

(They played the mash)

Their eyes started to flash.

(They played the mash)

They played Goa’uld mash.

Out from his sarc Poph’s voice did ring.

It seems he was troubled by just one thing.

He opened the lid and shook his fist,

and said, "Whatever happened to my Egyptian twist"?

(It’s now the mash)

It’s now the Goa’uld mash.

(The Goa’uld mash)

And it's a Stargate smash.

(It’s now the mash)

His eyes started to flash.

(It’s now the mash)

It’s now the Goa’uld mash.

Now everything’s cool, Poph’s a part of the band,

And the Goa’uld mash is the hit of the land.

For us, the Tau’ri, this mash was meant too,

When you get to the ramp tell them Carter sent you.

(And you can mash)

And you can Goa’uld mash.

(The Goa’uld mash)

And do the Stargate smash.

(And you can mash)

Your eyes will glow in a flash.

(Then you can mash)

Then you can Goa’uld mash.

Goa'uld's Box

Shy’la’s got a Goa’uld’s box she keeps in her nest,
and when Danny goes there, he never gets no rest,
‘cos she’s nagging all night; and she kisses all right.
Shy’la’s got a Goa’uld’s box, and Danny never sleeps at night.

Well, his team don’t eat, and they can’t even sleep.
There’s no escape from the mine, and the whole damn beat.
But she’s nagging all night; and she kisses all right.
Shy’la’s got a Goa’uld’s box, and Danny never sleeps at night.

He goes in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out.
She’s nagging all night; and she kisses all right.
Shy’la’s got a Goa’uld’s box, and Danny never sleeps at night.

She says "please me. Come on, and please me.
Come on and please me like you do.
I’m so in love with you."
Shy’la’s got a Goa’uld’s box, and Danny never sleeps at night.

[break]

He goes in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out.
She’s nagging all night; and she kisses all right.
Shy’la’s got a Goa’uld’s box, and Danny never sleeps at night.

Goodbye, Hollow Blue Road

(Daniel to Jack)

When am I gonna calm down?
What can't you comprehend?
I should have stayed on the digs;
Should have listened to that old man.
You know you can't hold me forever.
I didn't sign up with you.
I'm not a present for the Goa'ulds to open;
This boy's too young to be singin'
The blues.

Chorus:

So goodbye, hollow blue road;
Where the Goa'ulds and the system lords prowl.
You can't plant me in your gateroom.
I'm goin' back to my trowel;
Back to the diggin' around in the dirt,
Huntin' for treasures of old.
Oh, I finally decided my future lies
Beyond the hollow blue road.

What did you think I'd do when
My search for Sha're hit the end?
Might take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again.
I'm sure you'll get a replacement.
There's plenty like me to be found:
Dreamers, who ain't got a penny,
Sniffin' for clues of the past
In the ground.

[Chorus]

Heartbreaker

* Now sung by: Daniel about the Stargate

It opens up like a tidal wave,
spinnin' over my head,
drownin' me in its promises,
cover stones unread.

And it's like an addiction;
it stokes my inner fantasies.
Some wild science fiction;
it revealed what I was born to be.

It's a heartbreaker,
dream-maker,
love-taker.
Has to mess around with me
It's a heartbreaker,
dream-maker,
love-taker.
Has to mess around, no, no, no!

One night it set my soul on fire,
burnin' outta control,
stealing all that my heart could desire,
now it's takin' its toll.

And it's like an addiction;
it stokes my inner fantasies.
Some wild science fiction;
it revealed what I was born to be.

It's a heartbreaker,
dream-maker,
love-taker.
Has to mess around with me
It's a heartbreaker,
dream-maker,
love-taker.
Has to mess around, no, no, no

<instrumental>

And it's like an addiction;
it stokes my inner fantasies.
Some wild science fiction;
it revealed what I was born to be.

It's a heartbreaker,
dream-maker,
love-taker.
Has to mess around with me
It's a heartbreaker,
dream-maker,
love-taker.
Has to mess around, no, no, no

It's a heartbreaker,
dreammaker,
love-taker.
Has to mess around with me
It's a heartbreaker,
dreammaker,
love-taker.
Heartbreaker!

Help Me Colonel!
(sung by Charlie Kawalsky to Jack O'Neill)

Well since I got this Goa'uld
I've had its thoughts rollin' round my mind.
I know it's in for fight,
'cos I never will give in to its kind.

Well, Colonel you look so mad;
And I know you wouldn't feel too bad,
If you could help me, Colonel,
Help me get it outta' my head!

Help me, Colonel!
Help, help me, Colonel!
(repeat x6)

Help me, Colonel, yeah,
Get it outta' my head!

Sha're was his wife,
And Dan would always be her man;
But we let a Goa'uld come between 'em,
And it shattered their plans
Well, Colonel, they're not done yet.
They're gonna take all the hosts they can get.
You gotta help me, Colonel,
Help me get it outta' my head!

Help me, Colonel!
Help, help me, Colonel!
(repeat x6)
Help me, Colonel, yeah,
Get it outta' my head!
Help me, Colonel!
Help, help me, Colonel!
(repeat x6)
Help me, Colonel, yeah,
Get it outta' my head!

Hit the Stargate and Run

This is a story about Jack O'Neill and SG-1
Four explorers with nothing in common,
‘Cept running through the gate, get out and shoot their guns.
Here's what happened when they started to have fun.

They headed on out, to the Goa'uld hold on Chulak
That's where they ran into a great big attack.
The Jaffa Teal'c , shot the guards while helping out Jack.
SG-1 hit the Stargate and run.

Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.

Old Kinsey is a senator who gets distracted.
He thinks he knows just exactly what the facts is .
He closed the gate, yeah, shut off the claxons.
He thinks he's savin' all of the people's taxes.

But SG-1, oh, they slipped away.
Saved the Earth again the very next day.
They kicked Apophis and they got away,
Headed back home and they're still gating today.

Singin ',
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.

Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.

Oh, yeah,

Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.
Go on, hit the Stargate and run.

In the Arms of the Angels

*Daniel’s search for Sha’re

Spend all your time searching,
For that special truth,
For the break that will make it all clear.
There's always some reason,
To feel not good enough,
When you know that the answer is near.
You need some new action,
Or a beautiful cartouche,
Memories seep from the glyphs.
Yet you feel empty,
Oh and weightless yet maybe,
You'll find some peace tonight.

In the arms of the angels,
Far away from here,
From this stark, cold, control room,
And the aimlessness that you fear.
You are pulled from the wreckage,
Of your silent reverie.
You're in the arms of the angels;
May you find
Some comfort here.

So tired of the Gate life,
Oh, and everywhere you turn,
There's vultures and thieves at your back.
The Goa'uld keep on twisting;
They keep on building the lies,
With the Jaffa that live on Chu'lak.
It don't make no difference,
Escaping one last time;
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness,
Oh this glorious sadness
That brings you to your peace.

In the arms of the angels,
Far away from here,
From this stark, cold, control room,
And the aimlessness that you fear.
You are pulled from the wreckage,
Of your silent reverie.
You're in the arms of the angels;
May you find
Some comfort here.

Jaffa

Apophis once told me, the Goa’uld are gonna own us;

We ain’t the sharpest tools in the shed.

He was lookin’ kinda' dumb with his fingers and his thumb

Makin' that squiggly little mark on his forehead.

Well, his Jaffa start coming and they don’t stop coming.

Head to the ‘Gate and ya hit the ground running.

Doesn’t make sense just to live for him –

You get all his toys, but your brain goes dim.

So many Goa’ulds, so hard to beat;

Have to hit ‘em while takin’ the backstreets.

He never will run the whole show.

He never will make our eyes glow.

Hey now, you’re his Jaffa?  Got your prim-ta?  So, "Kree!"

Hey now, you’re his Jaffa?  Think you can take down the SG-C?

All your life for the Goa’uld?

All the system lords who have ruled….

He’s a cruel lord, and they say he gets crueler.

You’re comfortable now, wait 'til he’s your ruler.

Even the Tok’ra won’t beg to differ,

Judging by the ships in the satellite pictures.

The ice we skate is gettin' pretty thin;

The waters gettin' warm so you might as well swim.

My world’s on fire, how about yours?

Cuz that’s the way he likes it and he never gets bored.

Hey now, you’re his Jaffa?  Got your prim-ta?  So, "Kree!"

Hey now, you’re his Jaffa?  Think you can take down the SG-C?

All your life for the Goa’uld?

All the system lords ….

Apophis once said he’d put a snake in my head,

If I don’t get myself away from his face.

I know I’d love to get myself away from his face.

I said yep, what a concept; I'd like to kick his Goa’uld butt myself,

In fact I'd drop-kick him out into space!

Well, his Jaffa start coming and they don’t stop coming.

Head to the ‘Gate and ya hit the ground running.

Doesn’t make sense just to live for him –

You get all his toys, but your brain goes dim.

So many Goa’ulds, so hard to beat,

Have to hit ‘em while takin’ the backstreets.

He never will run the whole show.

He never will make our eyes glow.

Hey now, you’re his Jaffa?  Got your prim-ta?  So, "Kree!"

Hey now, you’re his Jaffa?  Think you can take down the SG-C?

All your life for the Goa’uld?

All the system lords who have ruled.

Jaffa Style Rock

I remember when Earth was young,

Oh, the Goa’uld had so much fun,

Taking hosts and throwing stones,

And dialin ’ Chevrons to the planets we owned!

But the biggest kick I ever got

Was doing a thing called the Jaffa Style Rock.

While the other Goa’ulds were fightin ’ ‘round the clock,

We were hoppin ’, boppin ’ to the Jaffa Style Rock.

Well, Jaffa Style Rockin ’ is something shockin ’

When your feet just can't keep still.

I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will.

Oh, lawdy momma, this Friday night,

When the SGC shows off its might,

The Jaffa Style Rockin ’ will be out of sight.

But the years went by and our rule here failed.

Ra, Osiris, Hathor …, well they all got nailed.

Long nights cryin ’ by the dialin ’ machine,

Dreamin ’ of those Chevrons and my favorite scene.

But they'll never kill the thrills we got,

Burning up to the Jaffa Style Rock,

Learning fast as the weeks went past.

We really thought the Jaffa Style Rock would last!

Jump The Jaffa, An' Wail

Baby, baby, you’re lookin’ kind of pale.

Baby, baby, you’re lookin’ kind of pale.

There’s Jaffa in the Gateroom;

Let me teach you how to jump and wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail, away.

Teal’c is in the armory lookin’ for his staff and mail;

Teal’c is in the armory lookin’ for his staff and mail;

Janet’s in the infirmary,

Learnin’ how to jump and wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

You gotta jump the Jaffa, and then you wail.

A woman is a woman, and a man ain’t nothin’ but a male.

A woman is a woman, and a man ain’t nothin’ but a male.

One good thing about him,

he knows how to jump and wail.

Jack and Sam went up the ramp to get a pail.

Jack and Sam went up the ramp to get a pail.

Sam stayed up;

she wants to learn how to jive and wail.

Klorel

Apophis wears his war hood like a crown.
He called his child Klorel
'Cause he likes the name
And he sent him to the finest schools
Around.

Apophis, 'Pophis likes his power.
He has a lot they say.
Spends his days, ruling,
in a Ha'tak, by the Milky Way.

He was born a prim'ta to a Goa'uld
on a distant day.
Then the System Lords said
"Ra is dead!
And the war's begun."
Later: "'Pophis has a son today."

And he shall be Klorel.
And he shall be your sovereign.
And he shall be Klorel,
in tradition with the family plan.
And he shall be Klorel.
And he shall be your sovereign.
He shall be Klorel.

Apophis is the strongest lord around.
His family business thrives.
Klorel blows up his foes all day.
Sits on the peltak watching them fly.

And Klorel,
he wants to rule himself,
leavin' 'Pophis far behind.
Take an Ha'tak and go sailing,
while 'Pophis, 'Pophis slowly dies

And he shall be Klorel.
And he shall be your sovereign.
And he shall be Klorel,
in tradition with the family plan.
And he shall be Klorel.
And he shall be your sovereign.
He shall be Klorel.

Kree!  To the World!

Apophis was a false god;
Was a ruler of mine.
I never really liked a single word he said,
But I helped him as his First Prime;
And I always was a mighty fine 'Prime!

Singin' ...

Kree!  To the world.
All the queens and goa'ulds.
Kree!  To the larvae in the deep blue sea.
Kree!  To you and me.

If I were the king of the world,
I'll tell you what I'd do:
I'd throw away the zats and the staffs and their blasts,
And show 'Poph a thing or two!

Sing it now ...
Kree!  To the world.
All the queens and goa'ulds, now.
Kree!  To the larvae in the deep blue sea.
Kree!  To you and me.

You know I love my freedom.
Love to have my fun.
I might even linger with the magic fingers
At that dive down on Route fifty-one.

Kree!  To the world.
All the queens and goa'ulds.
Kree!  To the larvae in the deep blue sea.
Kree!  To you and me.

The Liaison Man

There's man who helps when there is danger,
Yet to all the fans he stays a stranger.
With every show he's on,
Another he'll be gone.
Odds are he won't be on air tomorrow.

The li-aison man, the li-aison man,
They've given you a line or two but we barely know your name.

Beware of new technologies they find ;
A replicator might be left behind.
Ah, be careful what you say,
Or you might get blown away.
Odds are you won't be on air tomorrow.

The li-aison man, the li-aison man,
They've given you a line or two but we barely know your name.

The li-aison man, the li-aison man,
They've given you a line or two but we barely know your name.

Jetting from the Pentagon one day,
And then hangin' in an alien cocoon next day.
Oh no, you let them take you in
With their make believe human skin.
And odds are you won't be on air tomorrow.

The li-aison man, the li-aison man,
They've given you a line or two but we barely know your name.

Mambo Number PRx-911

Chorus:

A little bit of Legacy, in my life;

a little bit of Crystal Skull, by my side;

a little bit of Need is what I need;

a little bit of Fire and Water, please.

A little bit of Daniel, falling down;

a Goa’uld sarcophagus, brings him ‘round;

a little bit of Jack hoping he’s okay;

a little bit of angst goes a long, long way.

One, two, three four five

everyone on the ramp, so come on, let’s climb

through the big, blue ring into the unknown.

The Tok’ra say they want to kick some Goa’uld

but I just let out a big groan

cos I really don’t trust, a word they speak.

I must stay deep ‘cos talk is cheap.

I like Daniel, and Jack, the Jaffa Teal’c and Carter.

But Daniel, I like most; you know he’s gettin' sharper?

So what can I do, but put him in a Goa’uld’s court?

To me hurt/comfort’s just like a sport;

anything goes when you know you can fix it.

Please set in the trumpet!

Chorus:

A little bit of Legacy, in my life;

a little bit of Crystal Skull, by my side;

a little bit of Need is what I need;

a little bit of Fire and Water, please.

A little bit of Daniel, falling down;

a Goa’uld sarcophagus, brings him ‘round;

a little bit of Jack hoping he’s okay;

a little bit of angst goes a long, long way.

Jump up and down, ‘cos we’re Stargate bound;

Keep your head in the clouds,

but your feet on the ground.

Take one step in, and the next step out.

When you’re all the way through, gonna scream and shout.

Shoot the Jaffa once, then shoot ‘em twice;

and if they fall on down, then you’re doin’ it right.

(Repeat Chorus twice)

I’d – do – all – to

go through the ‘gate with a guy like you.

You can’t run and you can’t hide,

cos Daniel, dear, you’re my kind of guy.

Man! I Feel Like a Goa’uld!

I’m attacking tonight – I’m feeling alright,

Gonna take SG-1 out.

The Shol’va and Sam – O’Neill and Dan,

Gonna make ‘em scream and shout.

Hurt ‘em and then, hurt ‘em again,

Kill ‘em a thousand times.

The sarcophagus will do what it must;

I only wanna take what is mine.

The best thing about being a Goa’uld,

Is the prerogative to have a little fun, and…

Chorus:

Oh, oh, oh, have people revere me, and if they won’t hear me,

Torture? For sure!

Oh, oh, oh, watch ‘em go wild – yeah, doin’ it in style.

Oh, oh, oh, give ‘em some action! See the attraction?

Ribbon device – they’ll pay the price!

Oh, oh, oh, show them I’m god – yeah, make them worship me.

Man! I feel like a Goa’uld!

The Goa’ulds need a break – tonight I’m gonna take

Everything that’s owed and more.

They can’t make amends – I need my revenge.

Put an end to their puny war.

Chorus:

Oh, oh, oh, see, people revere me; but if they won’t hear me,

Torture?

(Repeat Chorus)

Make people revere me.

Can you see it?

Come, come, come on baby,

I feel like a Goa’uld!

Martouf, The Tok'ra

Martouf, the Tok'ra,

Was a kind and gentle soul,

With a bright, white smile

And a carefree style.

Saving humans was his goal.

Martouf, the Tok'ra,

Has a legion of true fans.

He could not live past

That zat gun blast

But we all still hope he can!

We know there's still some magic in

Those Goa'uld healing things,

And when Sam puts one on her hand

We almost want to sing,

O, Martouf, the Tok'ra

Is alive as he could be!

I can hear Sam say

He could fight and play

Just the same as you and me!

Zappity, Zat, Zat,

Zappity, Zat, Zat

Martouf's on the ground!

Zappity, Zat, Zat,

Zappity, Zat, Zat

Don't just stand around!

Martouf, the Tok'ra

Knew a zatarc plant had come

So he said, "Let's check

With this Tok'ra test,

Then we'll see who is the one."

Down in the mountain,

Behind a shield of glass,

Testing SG-1 and everyone

With recent missions past.

He led them to the Stargate ramp,

Right to the zatarc plot;

And he didn't pause a moment when

He heard Sam holler "Stop!"

O, Martouf, the Tok'ra,

Was a cruel pawn to play,

And he had to die;

Yet we wonder why,

And hope he'll come again some day!

Zappity, Zat, Zat,

Zappity, Zat, Zat

Martouf's on the ground!

Zappity, Zat, Zat,

Zappity, Zat, Zat

Don't just stand around!

*Jack to Daniel, after "Menace"

Merely Human

When we were young we knew everything.
Now there's space punks who rarely ever play-ay nice.
I won't be guilt stricken, sobbing
With my head on the floor.
Stop a foothold here with some sage advice? No.

Can't be held responsible;
Cause she was wrecking this place.
I won't be held responsible;
She made a move in the first place.

For the life of me,
I can not understand:
What makes you think that you can save
Every being out in space?
For the life of me
I don't want to see you ever die
For these sins;
We are merely human.

My best friend took a week's vacation to forget her;
His arm took a week's worth of Vicadin.
And now he's pain stricken, sobbing,
With his head on the floor.
Think about him now and how he never should have wept,
I say,

Can't be held responsible;
Cause she was wrecking this place.
I won't be held responsible ;
She made a move in the first place.

For the life of me,
I can not understand:
What makes you think that you can save
Every being out in space?
For the life of me
I don't want to see you ever die
For these sins ;
We are merely human.

Hey Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Hey Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

We try to wash our hands of all of this.
We never talk of our lack in relationships,
And how we're guilt stricken, sobbing
With our heads on the floor.
We fall through the ice
When we try not to slip,
We say,

Can't be held responsible;
When someone is wrecking this place.
I won't be held responsible ;
They made their move in the first place.

For the life of me,
I can not understand:
What makes you think that you can save
Every being out in space?
For the life of me
I don't want to see you ever die
For these sins ;
We are merely human.

For the life of me,
I can not understand:
What makes you think that you can save
Every being out in space?
For the life of me
I don't want to see you ever die
For these sins ;
We are merely human.
We are merely human.
We are only human...

The Very Model Of A Modern Stargate General

Hammond:
I am the very model of a modern Stargate General,

I've teams exploring vegetable, animal, and mineral,

I know the Tok'ra council and I quote the Goa'ulds historical

From Apophis to Heru'ur, in order categorical;

Major Carter keeps me briefed on matters mathematical,

I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,

On quantum theorem Carter's always teeming with a lot o' news,

With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.

ALL:
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.

Hammond
Carter's good at integral and differential calculus;

While Dr. Jackson knows the names of beings animalculous:

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,

I am the very model of a modern Stargate General.

ALL:
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral, he is the very model of a

modern Stargate General.

Hammond
I'm briefed on mythic history, Norse and Greek, Egyptian, too;

I answer accusations when the pentagon gets all unglued;

I quote in my reports about the fic on Heliopolis,

When Doctor Jackson floors peculiarities parabolous;

Of physics, I know more about the space and time continuum

Than Einstein ever theorized, and even more residuum;

I understand the consequence of stealing space technologies

It's better to negotiate than try to make apologies.

ALL:
It's better to negotiate than try to make apologies.

Hammond:
I've seen enough of Jackson's Babylonic cuneiform,

To understand what makes these planets often very uniform

In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,

I am the very model of a modern Stargate General.

ALL:
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral, he is the very model of a

modern Stargate General.

Hammond:
When dealing with an enemy so cruel and diabolical

It doesn't always help when Jackson's waxing philosophical;

Colonel Jack O'Neill might sometimes argue with the logical;

And Teal'c's a trusted warrior who never is hypocriphal;

Major Carter tops the list of physicists with hand grenades;

Together these four form the team that always earns the highest grades;

Although I've seen them duplicated, imitated, miserable,

And Doctor Jackson once became entirely invisible!

ALL:
And Doctor Jackson once became entirely invisible!

Hammond
My military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury,

Has already been brought up to an entirely new century;

And still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,

I am the very model of a modern Stargate General.

ALL:
And still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral, he is the very model of a

modern Stargate General!

Samantha's Song / Movin' Out

Samantha works for an underground base

Savin’ the Earth from the Goa’uld

Colonel O’Neill goes with her into space

He says

“Lucky for me, you’re well schooled.

Thinkin’ too hard can give me a heart attack.”

She oughta know by now

They’re always worried ‘bout a Goa’uld attack

Is that all they do when they’re out there?

CHORUS:

But it’s never a waste of time

That’s not what it’s all about

There’s much more to learn; the team’s movin’ out

Colonel O’Neill, he is sometimes a clown

Sometimes he becomes an Earth saver

He goes through event horizons over 20 floors down

And there really is nobody braver

He is tradin’ in his pension for a Goa’uld attack

He oughta know by now

And if he can’t fight with a broken back

Somehow maybe he can still save her

CHORUS:

But it’s never a waste of time

That’s not what it’s all about

There’s much more to learn; the team’s movin’ out

She should never argue with a crazy mind

She oughta know by now

They can’t protect the world without overtime

Is that all they do when they’re out there?

CHORUS:

But it’s never a waste of time

That’s not what it’s all about

There’s much more to learn; the team’s movin’ out

My Nightmares After Sha're

On bright desert planet,

hot wind in my hair,

Goa’uld pyramid spaceship,

rising up in the air,

I saw a hand raised before me,

And then a shimmering light.

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim.

I couldn’t put up a fight.

There she stood in the doorway;

familiar flash in her eyes.

And I was thinking to myself,

I must be dreaming, we’ve said our good-bye’s.

Then she looked in my memories,

And she showed me a dream.

There were voices down the corridor,

I thought I heard them scream.

Chorus:

Welcome to my nightmares after Sha're.

Such a lonely place;

Such a haunting face.

There’s plenty of pain in my nightmares after Sha're.

Any time I sleep,

The memories will creep.

My mind Machello has twisted;

I’ve had sarcophagus mends.

At least I can be thankful for

My teammates and friends.

Always there when I need them;

I hope they never regret,

Helping me to remember;

helping me to forget.

When I looked for the colonel,

he was drinking my wine.

He said, "I haven’t seen peace or love since 1969."

And still those voices keep screaming from far away;

Come to me in the middle of the night,

Just to hear me say….

Chorus:

Welcome to my nightmares after Sha're.

Such a lonely place;

Such a haunting face.

There’s plenty of pain in my nightmares after Sha're.

Any time I sleep,

The memories will creep.

Gold glyphs on the ceiling,

Describe a sacrifice.

Then she said, "you are at the mercy of me,

And my ribbon device."

In Apophis’ chambers,

they gathered for the fight.

They shot us with their staff weapons;

and tried to show us their might.

Last thing I remember,

I was running for the door.

I had to find the passage back

to the place I was before.

"Relax," said Lotan,

"I am programmed to explain.

You can visit any time you want,

but this is not your domain."

Chorus:

Welcome to my nightmares after Sha're.

Such a lonely place;

Such a haunting face.

There’s plenty of pain in my nightmares after Sha're.

Any time I sleep,

The memories will creep.

The Night Before Christmas

Tis the night before Christmas, and all 'round the world,

'Gate gazers are dreaming of SG teams and Goa'uld.

With Hammond as Santa, and some Jack O'Neill elves,

we'll plan out an episode just for ourselves.

There'll be milk chocolate Teal'cs, and bright, smiling Sams,

and Daniels all dapper will bring our Christmas hams.

Doc Fraiser will carve 'em with great care and finesse,

to Cassie she'll serve the piece that is best.

Perhaps Siler and Davis and our fave Chevron guy

will sing us some carols, if they're not too shy.

The Nox will be there, and Thor and his grog,

and Jacob will serve us some rum and egg-nog.

We'll toast once or twice, then once or thrice more.

We'll toast to a day without hatred and war.

We'll toast to old friends, and the new ones we've found

through lists and conventions all the world 'round.

We'll toast to our memories.  We'll toast to our dreams.

We'll toast to the magic within our TV screens.

We'll laugh and be merry all the night long;

then stumble to bed before the first rays of dawn,

so Hammond and Jack, and Donner and Blitzen

can fill all our stockings with SG themed visions.

From a distance we'll hear, as they soar out of sight,

"Merry Christmas to all!  And to all, a good night!"

No One Saved My Life Tonight

When I think of that Ha’tak flight,

starry night,

weapons drawn while we tried to end it there;

Damn Apophis, lord, he really couldn’t have cared!

Sitting like a god-king perched in his electric chair.

And I’d just been shot; and I don’t hear you anymore.

We’ve all felt helpless lately.

My friends out there,

Gating out to distant orbs.

And no one saved my life that night – Skarra tried.

But he almost had his hooks in me, didn’t he?

He really had me roped and tied,

Hand device, hypnotized,

Sweet freedom whispered in my ear:

You’re a butterfly

And butterflies are free to fly

Fly away

Fly away

Ah-ah

I never sleep through the passing hours,

meteor showers,

Sarcophagus

In my darkest dreams.

I’m captured by your haunting memories.

Just a pawn out-played

by a dominating queen.

And it’s four o’clock in the morning.

Damn it!

Listen to me good:

I’m sleeping with myself tonight,

Safe and sound,

But god, my dreams may not survive!

And I would have walked head on

through the deep end of the wormhole,

clinging to the hope of you,

letting the Goa’ulds’ demands take control.

I’ll go there in the morning with a plan to take you home.

No one saved no one saved no one saved my life tonight

No one saved no one saved no one saved my life tonight

So save your strength

I’ll run the field

I'll stay alone.

Ode To Stargate SG-1

Shall I compare thee to my favorite shows?

Thou art more deserving of the syndicated market.

Rough ratings do shake the network CEOs,

And TV seasons hath all too short a date.

Sometime too dumb a series makes us feel,

And often are the plot lines stale and old.

Yet Stargate SG-1 always seems real,

And rife with well-thought stories newly told.

But thy eternal freshness shall not fade.

Nor lose the obsession of this fandom lot.

Nor shall death wander in thy shade,

With all the great fic writers that we’ve got.

So long as there are fics to write and read,

So long lives this, and this gives life to thee!

Psychedelic Lights

Nibbling on chocolate,

No need to talk yet,

Like a kaleidoscope - purples and blues.

Standing there frozen,

My mouth hanging open,

Mesmerized by all those beautiful hues.

Chorus:

Wasting away again on psychedelic lights.

Searching for some switch that says "off".

Hieroglyphs claim

That there's the Goa'uld to blame.

All I know, is I can't get enough.

Don't know the reason

That I find it so pleasin'.

Look how it sparkles on Teal'c's gold tattoo!

Should post a warning.

It's so habit forming.

How we can stop it I haven't a clue.

[Chorus]

Cut from it's power, I tried to go home.

But I had to surrender.

My nerves were so tender.

Lucky for me, my friends helped me hang on.

[Chorus]

Yes, hieroglyphs claim

That there's the Goa'uld to blame.

All I know,

Is I can't get enough.

Sekh's Party Limerick

There once was a woman named Sekh,

Who planned a Vancouver con trek,

When to her surprise, she saw the demise

Of all of her hard earned respect.

This woman arranged for a meeting,

To give other con goers a greeting,

PH was the place, where she came to disgrace,

With a phrase that found constant repeating.

Her planning was getting complex,

When she innocently prompted this hex

By telling the man to label his plans

By coding the party as "Sekh's"!

And thus the Sekh's Party was born.

Though it lacked all significant porn,

You'd sure draw a crowd if you said it out loud

In circles where such things are scorned!

Sekh thought and she plotted and planned,

And sent messages throughout the land.

To reach far and wide a forum from Slida

Helped her guest list to greatly expand.

She found them from all 'round the globe,

Using the Gategoers list as her probe,

They answered her call, then came one and all,

To a Sekh's Party where none would disrobe.

On the eve of that infamous night,

They met at the gathering sight.

E-names became faces, and there were no traces

Of anything less than delight.

They drove to PH in such style,

Heads turned their way mile after mile.

In limos they found, they'd soon be renowned:

The first Sekh's Party goers were wild!

They feasted and drank by the score,

Then continued to drink all the more

While videos played in a music parade

Of their fav'rite Stargate world explorers.

The party was such a success,

Even those who were not party guests

Began to discuss and make a great fuss

About a Sekh's party where no one undressed!

Before this excitement derailed,

Sekh's second coming was unveiled,

In two thousand and one, Sekh's first party pun,

Would become a tradition well hailed!

There has become such a demand,

It might seem to get out of hand,

* Daniel, dreaming of Abydos

Soak up the Sun

My friend, dear Jack O’Neill,

Just wants technology.

I can’t accept his spiel,

So I’m stuck here with the DHD.

I don’t need anything.

I don’t have diddly squat.

It’s not having what you want;

It’s wanting what you’ve got.

I’m gonna soak up the sun;

I’m gonna tell everyone to lighten up.

I’ve got no one to blame

For every time I feel lame, I’m looking up.

I’m gonna soak up the sun.

I’m gonna soak up the sun.

I’ve got a special job;

But I don’t know near enough,

To find the things it takes,

To win me some of your love.

Every time I turn around,

I’m looking up, you’re looking down.

Maybe something’s wrong with you,

That makes you act the way you do.

I’m gonna soak up the sun;

I’m gonna tell everyone to lighten up.

I’ve got no one to blame

For every time I feel lame, I’m looking up.

I’m gonna soak up the sun.

I’m gonna soak up the sun.

I’m gonna soak up the sun,

While it’s still free.

I’m gonna soak up the sun

Before it goes out on me.

Don’t have no “ Jaffa , kree ”;

I’m still the king of me.

You have a fancy gun, but baby,

I’m the one who has the key.

Every time I turn around,

I’m looking up, you’re looking down.

Maybe something’s wrong with you,

That makes you act the way you do.

Maybe I am crazy, too.

I’m gonna soak up the sun;

I’m gonna tell everyone to lighten up.

I’ve got no one to blame

For every time I feel lame, I’m looking up.

I’m gonna soak up the sun.

I’m gonna soak up the sun.

I’m gonna soak up the sun,

Got my sunglasses on

So I can dream on….

SoC Theme Song

Hello Stargate fans, my friends!
I've come to chat with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains.
It’s called the Songs of the Chaapa’ai.

My restless filks I shared with few;
A narrow net of friends like you.
We laughed together – then it all was done.
I made a web page – it was shared with none.
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a new web site.
It seemed so right!
And sparked the Songs of the Chaapa’ai.

And in this dreaming light I saw
One thousand people maybe more –
People chatting without talking;
People listening without hearing;
People writing songs that here they’d come to share
With friends who cared
About the Songs of the Chaapa’ai.

“Friends,” say I, “You surely know
Fandom like a flower grows.
I’ll share my filks that they might reach you.
So you’ll share yours, of this I beseech you.”
Let the vision like a Stargate travel wide,
And build into the Songs of the Chaapa’ai.

Filks of people who bowed and prayed
To the Goa’uld gods, self-made;
Or the gateroom flashing its warnings,

“An unauthorized wormhole is forming”.
And the glyphs said
“The words of the prophets are
Written on the Ha’tak walls
And pyramid halls,
And whispered in the Songs of the Chaapa’ai”.

Space Oddity

Ground control to Colonel Jack,

Ground control to Colonel Jack,

Put your helmet on and strap into the back.

Ground control to Colonel Jack,

Commencing countdown,

Systems track.

Check ignition, and may good luck go with you…

This is ground control to Colonel Jack,

You’ve really made the grade!

But the Tok’ra want to know just what you’ve done;

Say technology can be a smoking gun.

This is Colonel Jack to ground control,

We’re past the atmosphere,

And we’re flying in a most peculiar way,

And the stars looks very different, today;

For here, are we sitting in a tin can,

Far from the world.

Planet Earth is blue,

And there’s nothing we can do.

Though we’re past one million miles an hour,

I’m feeling very still;

And it’s clear this spaceship knows which way to go,

Tell my team it’s been an honor…

They know!

Ground control to Colonel Jack,

You’re out of range,

But you’ll be back.

Can you hear me, Colonel Jack?

Can you hear me, Colonel Jack?

Can you hear me, Colonel Jack?

Can you …

Here, am I floating in a tin can,

Far from the moon.

Planet Earth is blue

And there’s nothing I can do…

Stargate Command

Just sit right back, and you’ll hear a tale,

A tale of a big, round ‘gate.

Dug up in Giza, Egypt,

It’s in Colorado of late.

General’s a mighty military man;

The Colonel brave and sure,

By team members who go with him

On planetary tours;

On planetary tours.

When Replicators started getting rough,

Thor and his ship got tossed.

If not for the courage of our fearless team,

The Earth, it would be lost;

The Earth, it would be lost.

It’s often up to the SGC

To save life here on Earth.

There’s the General,

The Golonel, too,

Major Carter,

And Daniel,

The Jaffa Teal’c

And the rest,

At Stargate Command.

The Goa’uld, Tok’ra and the Asgard, too,

Will keep you entertained,

While what you learned in history class

Is differently explained.

So join them every week, my friends,

I’m sure you’ll soon demand,

More of our fearless explorers

At Stargate Command!

Stargate Command Set

His name was Daniel, he was a linguist,

With a bandana on his hair and his sleeves rolled up to there.

He would translate and talk to strangers;

But while he wandered through the stars,

Jack was never very far,

Across the gateroom floor, not just from 8 til 4.

They were friends and they had each other.

Who could ask for more?

At the Stargate, Stargate Command set.

The hottest spot on all the planet.

At the Stargate, Stargate Command set,

Drama and action are always in fashion,

At the Stargate... we fell in love!

Her name was Carter. She was a captain,

When she joined the program there, she saw Jack begin to stare;

And when she told him, she was on his team,

He might have gone a bit too far,

Still they walked across the stars.

Teamwork was nothing new, and then the friendship grew.

There was danger, in every mission,

But she would watch his six,

The hottest spot on all the planet.

At the Stargate, Stargate Command set,

Drama and action are always in fashion,

At the Stargate... we fell in love!

He was a Jaffa, but not a bad guy.

Teal'c came to join the team, after killing Daniel's dream.

He wants to help them, destroy Apophis,

And all the other system lords,

Ending all the Goa'uld wars.

He stands there stern and tall, just like a strong brick wall.

He lost his home-world, but gained his freedom,

And now he's gained new friends,

Stargates Through Heaven

There's a lady who's sure

All that glitters is Goa’uld

And she’s finding more stargates through heaven.

When she gets there she knows

If the gates are all closed

With a ship she’ll still get what she came for.

Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

And she's finding more stargates through heaven.

There's a glyph on the wall

Daniel wants to be sure

'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.

There is Teal’c by the brook

Doing his kel-no-reem;

Sometimes all of his thoughts are misgiven.

Ooh, it makes him wonder,

Ooh, it makes him wonder.

There's a feeling Jack gets

When he looks to the west,

And his spirit is crying for leaving.

In the MALP they have seen

Rings of smoke through the trees,

And the voices of those who stand looking.

Ooh, it makes them wonder,

Ooh, it really makes them wonder.

And it's whispered that soon

If they all find the ruins

Then the ancients will lead them to reason.

And a new day will dawn

For those who stand long

And the wormholes will echo with laughter.

If there's a scuffle in the gateroom

Set the alarms now,

It's just a spring clean for a Goa’uld queen.

Yes, there are two paths you can go by

But in the long run

There's still time to change the road you're on.

And it makes me wonder.

Sam’s head is humming and it won't go

In case you don't know,

Apophis is calling her to join him.

Dear lady, can you see his eyes glow?

And did you know

Your stargate lies on the whispering wind?

And as they wind on down the road

Their shadows taller than their souls.

There walks a lady they all know

Who shines white light and wants to show

Harsesis still can turn to Goa’uld.

And if they listen very hard

The truth will come to them at last.

When all are one and one is all.

To beat the Goa’uld and not to rule.

… And she's finding more stargates through heaven.

Stayin' Alive

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,

I'm the Stargate doc: no time to talk.

Zat gun blasts; staff weapon burns –

They get kicked around; no one ever learns.

But now it's all right. It's OK.

I won’t look the other way.

I can try to understand

A Stargate trips’ effect on man.

Whether you're a colonel or whether you're a major,

I’ll keep you stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Feel the Stargate breakin' and the mountain is shakin',

But we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive!

Well now, if you get low I’ll keep you high,

and if I can't work miracles, I really try.

Got the wings of heaven on my shoes.

I'm the Stargate doc and I just can't lose.

You know it's all right. It's OK.

You’ll live to see another day.

I can try to understand

A Stargate trips’ effect on man.

Whether you're a linguist or whether you're a jaffa,

I’ll keep you stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Feel the Stargate breakin' and the mountain is shakin',

But we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive!

‘Gate got ya’ nowhere? I’m here to help you.

I’m here to help you, yeah.

‘Gate got ya’ nowhere? I’m here to help you.

I’m here to help you, yeah. Stayin' alive!

Whether you're a general or whether you're a sergeant,

I’ll keep you stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Feel the Stargate breakin' and the mountain is shakin',

But we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive!

Sumerian Rhapsody

DANIEL:

Is this the gate room?

Is this under the sea?

Caught in a whirlpool?

No escape from here I can see.

I opened my eyes,

Looked up to find only me.

I'm all alone here;

How 'bout some sympathy?

Because I'm really wet,

Really cold,

Half undressed,

Where's my clothes?

Anyway the water flows,

My freedom really matters to me - to me.

Nem's here,

Tryin' to make demands.

Put a scanner to my head,

Won't find answers if I'm dead.

Nem's here,

Looking for his love;

How can I reveal what I don't know?

Nem's here, ooh-ooh-ooh,

He doesn't mean to let me go.

If I'm not back at home this time tomorrow,

They'll carry on, carry on,

As if nothing really matters.

Time now,

To find the words inside.

Machine sends shivers down my spine,

Head is achin' all the time.

Goodbye, everybody, I've got to go,

Gotta' leave you all behind to find his truth.

Nem's here, ooh-ooh-ooh,

I don't want to die.

But time's like this,

I really don't have a choice.

I see a little word about Omoroca.

NEM:

That is her! That is her! Can you see where did she go?

DANIEL:

Hard to find a brain full! Very, very painful, me!

NEM (CHORUS):

Omoroca. (Omoroca.) Omoroca. (Omoroca.)
Omoroca, where'd she go?

DANIEL:

I'm just a young soul; I didn't live then.

(CHORUS):

(He's just a young soul, from a young society.
Spare him his life from this monstrosity!)

DANIEL:

I can't see. I don't know. Will you let me go?

NEM:

Omoroca! No! I will not let you go.

CHORUS:

(Let him go!)

NEM:

Omoroca! I will not let you go.

CHORUS:

(Let him go!)

NEM:

Omoroca! I will not let you go.

DANIEL:

Let me go.

CHORUS:

(Will not let you go.)

DANIEL:

Let me go.

CHORUS:

(Will not let you go.)

DANIEL:

Let me go.

CHORUS:

(Ah. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.)

NEM:

Oh, Omoroca, Omoroca!

DANIEL:

No, Omoroca! Let me go!
Wait! Bee-el-elus, he tore asunder her,
killed her,
killed her!

DANIEL:

Now you see how she saved us and taught us to fight!

Now you see we're not slaves to them; we have our rights!

Oh, Nemmy! Can't do this to me, Nemmy!

Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here.

NEM:

She's all that really mattered,

Anyone can see.

She's all that really mattered,

All that really mattered,

To me.

CHORUS:

(Anyway the water flows....)

Take Me Through the Stargate

I’m not alone at the end of the work-day

Won’t let the blue lights start fading to gray

I keep thinkin ’ ‘bout a Stargate through the heavens

And I’m here to stay

You know I’ll always be a ‘ Gater

(spend my time at the con)

And that won’t ever change

(don’t want to settle down)

And the shows I’ve seen lately

Keep me comin’ back and runnin’ back

And comin’ back for more

So get me to a TV

And help me unwind

And take me through the Stargate

One more time

You can spend all your time makin ’ money

But you can’t buy a dream with a dime

If it all fell to pieces tomorrow

Would you still be fine?

So when you’re lookin ’ for an outlet

(Something to make you smile)

We can show you the ‘Gate

(Sit down, and stay a while)

And give you somethin ’ to believe in

Then keep you comin ’ back and runnin ’ back

And comin ’ back for more

We’ll get you to a TV

And help you unwind

And take you through the Stargate

One more time

Take me through the Stargate

Take me through the Stargate

Take me through the Stargate one more time

This Fic

I don't want a trashy romance,
I don't need hard-core sci-fi;
If I don't like it at first glance,
Baby Hello, oh no, goodbye.
But Fic has got me like a rocket
Shooting straight across the sky...

It's the way Jack moves me.
It's a sarcophagus.
It's Daniel in trouble.
It's perpetual risk.
It's that climactic moment.
It's Impossible,
This Fic, This Fic.
Unstoppable,
This Fic, This Fic.

Dr. Fraiser said to Carter,
How does love get so off course?
Someone wrote it in a fan fic
With some H/C, J/D, Goa'uld force.
Want to read/write it 'til the sun sets.
Stargate, I'm forever yours!

It's the way Jack moves me.
It's a sarcophagus.
It's Daniel in trouble.
It's perpetual risk.
It's that climactic moment.
It's Unthinkable,
This Fic, This Fic.
Unsinkable,
This Fic, This Fic.

I can read/write it in the moonlight,
On the rooftop under the sky.
I can read/write it with the windows open,
While the rain comes pouring inside.
See the scenes in sweet slow motion;
I'll let every thing slide.
It's got me floating; it's got me flying.

It's the way Jack moves me.
It's a sarcophagus.
It's Daniel in trouble.
It's perpetual risk.
It's that climactic moment.
It's Subliminal,
This Fic, This Fic.
It's Criminal,
This Fic, This Fic.

*** Jack to Jonas

Tired

I thought I saw my friend bring me to life
He was warm
He looked around to what things signified;
He showed me what it was to cry.
Wish you could be that man that I admired.
You don't seem to know
Seem to see just what he had inspired.
I think it's time that I retired.
There's nothing where he used to be,
I think about him constantly.
That's what's going on;
Nothing's fine I'm tired.

I'm all out of faith.
This is how I feel;
I'm old and I am shamed,
Feeling awkward, uninspired.
Illusions somehow changed
Into something real.
I'm wide awake and I can see
The perfect team's been mired.
You're a little late,
I'm already tired.

So I guess Oma Desala's right
Should have seen just what was there
And not some holy light
Which crawled beneath my veins, and now
I don't care;
I had no luck.
I don't miss him all that much;
There's just so many things
That I screw up; I'm tired.

I'm all out of faith.
This is how I feel;
I'm old and I am shamed,
Feeling awkward, uninspired.
Illusions somehow changed
Into something real.
I'm wide awake and I can see
The perfect team's been mired.
You're a little late,
I'm already tired.
Tired.

There's nothing where he used to be,
I think about him constantly.

Nothing's fine I'm tired.

I'm all out of faith.
This is how I feel;

Into something real.
I'm wide awake and I can see
The perfect team's been mired.

I'm all out of faith.
This is how I feel;
I'm old and I am shamed,
Bound and broken, lost and mired.
You're a little late,
I'm already tired.
Tired…

The Tok’ra

Some people call me a space cowboy, yeah.

Some call me a gangster of Goa’ulds.

Jack just calls me Marty,

To keep me from gettin’ a pompous attitude.

Jack he’ll talk about me, baby;

Say I'm doin' you wrong, doin' you wrong.

Well, don't you worry, baby, don't worry,

'Cause I'll try to, try to, try to, leave you alone.

Well, I’m a snakehead, but I’m a rebel,

I’m here to help you, won’t cause no trouble –

Although I’d like to have some fun.

I’m not a joker, I’m not a smoker,

I’m just your average Tok’ra.

I fight the Goa’uld on the run.

Well, I’m a snakehead, but I’m a rebel,

I’m here to help you, won’t cause no trouble –

Although I’d like to have some fun.

I’m not a joker, I’m not a smoker,

I’m just your average Tok’ra.

I sure don’t want to hurt no one.

Whooo Whooooo!

[break]

Though you're the cutest thing that I ever did see,

I really love you for Jolinar’s memories.

Talk about it, talk about it, talk about it all the time,

Ooo-eee baby, we really had some good times.

Well, I’m a snakehead, but I’m a rebel,

I’m here to help you, won’t cause no trouble –

Although I’d like to have some fun.

I’m not a joker, I’m not a smoker,

Tradin'

You took me into your mountain,

'Cause I had this trick to hide.

I saw the Doctor's daughter,

and it sure did feed my pride (ha, ha)

Oo, oo; Oo, oo;

Ahhhh

Oo, oo; Oo, oo;

Though, there's a hundred ways of

Findin' hosts to

Serve this Goa'uld of mine.

I won't take no more from these Tau'ri. No!

But I'm runnin' out of time.

All that testin', killin',

And toxin spillin',

Gonna keep me from an early grave.

No more runnin', hidin',

losin', dyin'.

This Goa'uld is gonna save

its own life.

Oo, oo; Oo, oo;

Ahhhh

Oo, oo; Oo, oo;

Stood on the ramp and

Stilled your claxons

Thinkin' your world was mine.

I made my break

Through your big mistake:

Tradin' when you should'a been fightin'!

All that testin', killin',

And toxin spillin'

Gonna keep me from an early grave.

No more runnin', hidin', losin', dyin'.

This Goa'uld is gonna save, its own life.

Life. Life. Life, life, life, life!!!

Well, I stood on the ramp and

Stilled your claxons

Thinkin' your world was mine.

I made my break

Through your big mistake:

Tradin' when you should'a been fightin'!

You were tradin' when you should'a been fightin';

You were tradin' when you should'a been fightin';

Tradin'

When you should'a been fightin'

You were tradin'

When you should'a been fightin'....

Trust Me About This

Listen Jack

Don’t want to see you let the bad guys get away

You know I don’t like watching

Anybody make the same mistakes I made

Oma’s a real nice girl

And she’s always there for me

But a nice girl wouldn’t let Anubis go free

Listen Jack

I’m sure you think you got it all under control

You don’t want somebody telling you

The way to save a planet’s soul

You’re a big boy now

You’ll never let it go

But there’s just one little thing you ought to know

Trust me about this

Despite everything you feel

I can’t give you one good reason

To accept this crazy deal

Trust me about this

Though it’s such a crazy scheme

I’ll make Anubis leave here

And I’m still part of your team

Listen Jack

It’s not automatically a certain guarantee

To protect this world you’ve got to accept

A little extra trust in me

When you care so much,

You might feel insecure

And there’s only one good way to reassure

Trust me about this

Cos you know how much I care

Thought I can’t be with you

You know I still am, sort of, there

Trust me about this

It’s the only way to leave

Pay me some attention

I’ll give you something to believe

I know now and then

You get to worrying

Just because we haven’t spoken for so long

You think I may not have done anything

I assure you I am never really gone

Listen Jack

It’s good information from a man who’s made mistakes

Just a nod or two I can get from you

Could be the difference that it makes

You’re not a trusting soul

But just put your trust in me

With the ancients power

I might help you go free

Trust me about this

Despite everything you feel

I can’t give you one good reason

To accept this crazy deal

Trust me about this

Though it’s such a crazy scheme

I’ll make Anubis leave here

And I’m still part of your team

Trust me about this

Despite the way you feel right now

Trust me about this

You know we just can’t wait too long

You’ve got to trust me about this

Trust me now and you can’t go wrong

You’ve got to trust me about this

Before it gets too late

You’ve got to trust me about this

You know the Goa’uld don’t want to wait

You’ve got to

Trust me about this!

The Unas

Once upon a planet distant, while I pondered life existent,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of Goa'uld history –
While I studied fossils baking, suddenly I heard a shaking,
As of someone gently quaking, quaking in a nearby tree.
"It's just a bird," I muttered, "quaking in a nearby tree –
Only this; I'll hear no `kree'."

Ah, distinctly comes the vision, of that moment of division,
As each subsequent decision brought me further from the SGC,
Eagerly I wished to end it; vainly I sought to befriend it –
An ancient Unas!  How can I defend it?  Defend it, so it can stay
free?
From the vile and wicked Goa'uld, who refuse to let things be?
In arrogance, they holler, "kree"!

Long hours of tortuous dragging, pulling, and incessant nagging,
Thrilled me – filled me with fantastic terrors, never known to me;
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating:
`Tis some juvenile entreating show and tell for Biology;
Some young student entreating show and tell for Biology.
This it is; I'll hear no `kree'."

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Excuse me," said I, "Is `Chaka', you?  Daniel is me.
But the fact is, I was hoping, if you'd only loosen up this roping,
Frankly I'm not really coping.  `Coping?' I wish you could see,
That I really need to rest now – here – I wish you'd set me free!"
At least I know I'll hear no `kree'.

Deep into that forest clearing, long I lay there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, thinking thoughts no human ever thought before to dream
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word "Chaka!"
This he whispered, and my echo murmured back the word "Chaka?"
Merely this; nothing of `kree'.

Back into the forest, dragging, all my soul within me sagging,
Soon I heard an engine soaring: a UAV, for me, exploring
"For me," said I, "for me.  That is my friends.  They look for me.
Can you see then, what that threat is; and tell me your mystery?
Let my heart be still a moment, and tell me your mystery.
Tis the moon, Chaka; no 'kree'."

At the lake I fled my bondage, where fierce Chaka stood at land’s edge.

What there stopped that stately Unas on the grainy sands of shore?

Not the least move forward made he; at the shoreline stopped and stayed he,

But with mien of lord or lady, bid me back toward him once more –

Bid me as with fear of evil, I must come toward him once more –

‘Twas something in the water; kree?

Then a fish, the water plying, from its surface started flying,

At my face.   With stern decorum and fierce countenance, came he,

The Unas, though my captor, saved me, showing true fear for my safety.

Ghastly grim, the ancient Unas killed the Goa’uld before me,

Growled and held the dead and ancient Goa’uld before me.

Quoth the Unas, “Keka!”   Never kree.

Much I marveled this ungainly fellow to hear discourse so plainly,

Though its word held little meaning, still a little relevancy;

And we can not help agreeing that no living human being

Ever yet was blessed with seeing Chaka kill a Goa’uld for me –

Man or beast from any land, see Chaka kill a Goa’uld for me,

‘Keka’, dead; but never kree.

But the Unas, walking bravely through the quiet woods, spoke gravely

That one word, as if my soul in that one word he did set free.

Nothing further though he gave me; not a finger raised to save me,

‘Til we deeply walked into a cave he seemed to know I’d never leave –

On the morrow he would take me deeper still, I’d never leave.

Marked for death, but never kree.

Later, with the stillness broken by a word more aptly spoken,

“Ka,” said I, “what it means is ‘no’, and that is well enough for me.”

Saved from turning host and master, what surely would have been disaster,

We threw the Goa’uld head fast and faster, ‘til we laughed like friends to be –

‘Til the march of recent days had merged us into friends to be.

But never, never kree.

Asleep, the Unas, still beguiling turned my sad soul into smiling;

Straight I wheeled and dropped the boulder I had thought to set me free.

Then, my heart and purpose sinking, I betook myself to linking,

Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous beast could see –

What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, bold and ominous beast could see;

And he’s growling ‘Ka!’, not ‘kree’.

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing

To the fellow whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom’s core;

This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining

On the cave’s hard, mossy lining that the campfire gloated o’er –

At least the cave’s hard mossy lining that the campfire gloated o’er,

Won’t hear the call for “ Jaffa , kree!”

Then, methought, the air grew thicker, as we went deeper, darker, quicker

Into the place where tribal Unas gathered under earth and sea.

“Wait!” I cried, “Chaka has led me – through these caverns he has led me;

Safe, protected, he even fed me – yes, although I’d tried to flee.

Wait, oh wait!   You cannot kill me.   I came, because I chose not to flee.”

Quoth the Unas, “Ka,” not kree.

“Chaka!”   said I, but none would listen – watching, waiting, indecision,

Whether I was something valued, or something simply tossed aside.

Desolate, yet all undaunted, in this dampened cave enchanted,

Unas home by horror haunted, “ka keka!” was my desperate cry –

Even as my friends stood near me, “ka keka!” was my desperate cry.

Quoth the Unas, “Ka,” not kree.

“Chaka!”   said I, but none would listen – watching, waiting, indecision,

First to this one, elder, leader, then young Chaka’s cloth-clad stranger –

Until the choice of death is made – then, as in some surreal charade,

His raised and deadly hand is stayed by weapons fire meant to save me,

His clawed and deadly hand is stayed by weapons fire meant to save me.

Quoth the Unas, “Ka,” not kree.

Then came the sign of parting, foe and friend, Chaka upstarting,

Charged the elder as a tempest in his night’s dark urgency;

Leaving green plumes as a token of the truth his soul had spoken –

Leaving ancient laws unbroken – while a new truth helped him see;

Take his place among the tribe, and bring new truths to help them see.

Quoth the Unas, “Ka,” not kree.

And the Unas, ever yearning, still is learning, still is learning,

On an urgent quest for knowledge just beyond the Stargate’s gleam;

And his eyes have all the seeming of a child’s that is dreaming

And the sunlight o’er him streaming finds new thoughts to set him free,

And my soul from out the shadow of the cave that set him free

Shall be lifted – never kree!

Vancouver Bound

I’m  sittin’ at my computer station,

Got my Gatecon confirmation.

On a tour of Stargate land,

My suitcase and roadmaps in hand,

And every stop is neatly planned

For every Gatecon destined fan.

Chorus:

Vancouver bound.

I wish I was

Vancouver bound.

Gatecon! Where my thoughts escape to

Gatecon! Where my friends are playin’

Gatecon! Where the Stargate’s waitin’

Silently for me.

Every day's an endless stream

Of all my favorite Stargate scenes,

And each one seems brand-new to me,

Through web-sites and the fandom zines,

And every Stargate fic I read,

reminds me that I long to be

Chorus:

Vancouver bound.

I wish I was

Vancouver bound.

Gatecon! Where my thoughts escape to

Gatecon! Where my friends are playin’

Gatecon! Where the Stargate’s waitin’

Silently for me.

Tonight I’ll dream my dreams again,

I’ll surf the net, and pretend,

As all the eps come back to me,

On video and DVD,

Like emptiness and harmony,

I need some more hurt/comfort please!

Chorus:

Vancouver bound.

I wish I was

Vancouver bound.

Gatecon! Where my thoughts escape to

Gatecon! Where my friends are playin’

Gatecon! Where the Stargate’s waitin’

Silently for me.

With Eyes Wide Open

Well I just solved
The Gate today
It seems my life
Is going to change
I close my eyes
Begin to pray
Then tears of joy
Stream down my face

With eyes wide open
Into the blue light
Welcome to this place
I'll look at everything
With eyes wide open

Well I don't know
If I'm ready
To be the man
I have to be
I take a breath
Take a step inside
Then stand in awe
It's a whole new life

With eyes wide open
Into the blue light
Welcome to this place
I'll look at everything
With eyes wide open

Now everything has changed
She gave me love
She showed me everything
With eyes wide open

If I had just one wish
Only one demand
I hope she comes back to me
I hope she understands
That she gave me life
She took me by the hand
Now I can greet the stars
With eyes wide open..

Woman From Abydos

Gate into the rising sun,
Faces smiling, everyone.
Yeah, she is a whole new tradition.
Aoh, I feel it in my heart.

My woman from Abydos,
She makes me see.
My woman from Abydos,
She's so good to me.

Taken as a Goa'uld queen,
Dance in an Egyptian dream.

Yeah, she makes me yearn for a wormhole
To carry me away.

My woman from Abydos,
She makes me see.
My woman from Abydos,
She's so good to me.

But I'm at home and I ... I just don't belong.

So far away from the hot sands we love;
She is what moves in the soul of a dove.
Ooooooh...

Soon I shall see just how black was my night
When we're away from these bright city lights.
Ooooooh...

Rising from the pyramid;
Shining like Apophis did.
Yeah, she turns on me with her fire,
Aoh, I get ... high!

My woman from Abydos,
She makes me see.
My woman from Abydos,
She's so good to me.

My woman from Abydos,
She makes me see.
My woman from Abydos,
She's so good to me.

My woman from Abydos.
My woman from Abydos.
My woman from Abydos.
My woman from Abydos.
